Remix Your Ring Stacks with Effortless, Sparkling Styles
We all know that when it comes to fashion and jewelry, trends come and go—sometimes faster than we can even take part in. But some do manage to stick around, becoming timeless staples in our dressing repertoire. And ring stacks fall into just that category. And this is because the concept might seem like a trend, but they really allow for so much personal style expression and creativity that every ring stack becomes its own unique statement. Stacking rings, while originally thought of as slender gold bands, have evolved to include just about any ring style. From minimalist sterling silver stacking rings to boldly colored gemstones to dainty gold and diamond numbers, there are endless ways to express yourself with stackable rings. Let's take a look at the myriad ways you can build your stacking ring collection to create a look that's distinctly yours.

What is Ring Stacking?
At its core, ring stacking is about wearing multiple rings at once. But there are a couple of different ways that folks are doing this. The first, and more classic, option is to layer multiple rings on one finger, creating a bold single statement and unique stack through the combination of different colors, textures, or stones. The other way is to create a horizontal "stack" where the rings are worn across several different fingers.
Either way, stacking rings let you decide on the overall look, by selecting your metal colors (white gold, yellow gold, rose gold, platinum), whether the rings have diamonds or gemstones, how wide the bands are, whether they have textures, and so much more! Whether you prefer a subtle, understated vibe or crave a bold and eclectic aesthetic, ring stacking offers endless possibilities to suit every taste and occasion.

The History of Ring Stacks
While the contemporary resurgence of ring stacking in mainstream fashion is relatively recent, its roots can be traced back through centuries of cultural and artistic expression. Ancient civilizations, including the Egyptians, Romans, and Greeks, adorned themselves with intricate rings symbolizing status, wealth, and religious beliefs. In more recent history, stacking rings gained popularity during the Art Deco era of the 1920s and 1930s, characterized by geometric shapes, vibrant colors, and a sense of modernity.

Exploring Modern Ring Stacks
Today, ring stacking has evolved into a trend embraced by style-conscious individuals worldwide. From delicate bands to statement cocktail rings, the options for stacking are as diverse as the personalities of those who wear them. Here are some popular ways people are incorporating ring stacks into their everyday looks:
Minimalist Chic
For those who prefer a subtle approach, stacking simple bands in a single metal creates an elegant and understated look. Opt for thin bands in gold, silver, or rose gold for a timeless aesthetic that pairs effortlessly with any outfit. There's some kind of magic that happens when you go from a single band to two or three, creating a personal style that's all your own. We love choosing a single metal style, say gold stacking rings, and then playing mix and match with different textures. You can easily mix a plain band with a twisted rope band with hammered band to create a whole new look.

Mix and Match Metals
You can also embrace the beauty of contrast by mixing different metals within your stack. Pair yellow gold with white gold or rose gold, or go for all three! This will create a modern twist that adds visual interest and dimension to your stacking rings.
Yellow gold is very classic and totally timeless, its warm color is very inviting and rooted in historical tradition. It can also look super modern and trendy in chunkier styles. White gold is a very contemporary metal. It looks sleek and sophisticated and is very flattering to bright white diamonds. Rose gold is romantic and feminine, evoking warmth and creativity. Many are drawn to its skin-flattering hue and individuality. Ultimately, the choice of metal color is deeply personal, so you should choose what you love and want to wear!

Playing with Shape
Another fun way to mix and match your stacking ring is with different shapes of bands and diamonds. Sure, you could purchase a few dainty gold stacking rings set with simple pave diamonds, but why not have a little more fun? We love mixing up different diamond shapes to create visual interest and variation. Perhaps something with staggered baby baguette diamonds? We love this multi-shape marquise and round diamond band for a major statement. Or this Asscher cut number for a modern take on Art Deco style. Build a collection and you can swap them around depending on how you're feeling that day!

Painting the Rainbow
You can also mix in beautifully crafted colored gemstone rings with your stack to make a statement. Many people like to incorporate their birthstone, or the birthstone of someone they love, but it can also just be a color you're obsessed with. Pink rings anyone? We love 'em! Whether you prefer the brilliance of diamonds, the richness of sapphires, or the vibrant hues of emeralds and rubies, gemstone rings add a pop of color and sparkle to your fingers. If you want something super sunshiney and bright, canary yellow diamonds are beautiful and we love them in gold stacking rings paired with white diamonds to mix things up.

Bold Style Bands
Expand your creativity by stacking rings across multiple fingers with bold widths. You can go with a plain metal band or explore bold diamond eternity bands for tons of sparkle. Our collection features chunky diamond rings in every shape and size, depending on what you love. Round or old European cut diamonds will give you a super classic look while ovals and radiant cut diamonds are quite modern, and then there are emerald and Asscher cut diamonds for vintage sophistication.

Getting Your Ring Size Right
One thing to keep in mind when you are stacking multiple rings on one finger is that doing so creates more width, and that usually means that the overall stack will fit more snugly than your typical ring size if you were just wearing a single ring. You can account for this by ordering a ring size that is slightly larger, say, a 1/4 or 1/2 size. The more you stack, or the wider the individual bands are, the more the width will impact the size you need. Note as well that eternity bands cannot be resized due to stones going all the way around the ring, so if you are planning to stack them, make sure to consider ring size prior to ordering.
